Laura Enquist, Board Chair
Laura currently serves as the Board Chair of KCUCares Foundation. She’s been a dedicated member since the foundation’s founding in 2019. In her professional role, she serves as the Vice President of Member Experience at Kitsap Credit Union, where she leads the member-facing teams in delivering exceptional service to our member owners. With 35 years of experience serving members, Laura is deeply passionate about financial wellness. She believes that financial health not only empowers individuals to care for themselves, but also equips them to support and uplift others. As the Board Chair, she’s excited to extend the credit unions nearly 90-year legacy of community support by engaging business partners, members, and the broader community in the foundation's mission. Together, we are creating lasting, transformative change that strengthens our community and empowers individuals to thrive.
Flora Damien, Board Member
Flora currently serves on the board for the KCUCares Foundation actively for 3 years as one of the Directors. Her current position is a Business Development Manager. She’s been in the financial services industry for 23 years and 5 years with Kitsap Credit Union. She provides leadership and management responsibilities for Business Development, New Market Development and Auto/RV dealership/partner programs.
Mark Gault, Treasurer
Mark currently leads the Strategic Planning Office with former experience as the Internal Audit manager at Kitsap Credit Union. Mark has over 30 years of experience in the bank and credit union environment and has worked in 5 different states in the Midwest until getting the opportunity to move to the beautiful Pacific Northwest. He has lived in Kitsap and Pierce County—2 of the counties that KCUCares serves. Mark joined the Board because of his high interest in our Homelessness pillar of care, while supporting KCU’s Financial Wellness programs and Hunger efforts. Mark is an innovative financial services leader recognized for developing and implementing progressive key strategic plans and initiatives. He has broad expertise including branch transformation, sales growth, branch optimization, operational efficiency, and product delivery.
Jessica Rein, Secretary
As a lifelong Kitsap resident, Jessica has a deep appreciation and a strong commitment to serving her community. She has worked for KCU for over 16 years where she currently holds the position of Branch Operations Manager. In this role, she focuses on supporting our frontline team in creating exceptional member experiences while fostering a culture of continuous quality improvement, collaboration, and innovation. Since 2019, she has been proud to serve on the KCUCares Foundation Board. Jessica is passionate about initiatives that promote financial wellness and address food insecurity and believe that through these initiatives, we empower individuals to take meaningful steps toward success!
Krista Twiggs, Board Member
As a lifelong resident of Jefferson County, Krista is deeply committed to the community that has given me so much. She currently serves as the Fundraising Chair on the Friends of Chimacum Schools board, where she works passionately to support local education initiatives. With over 10 years of experience in Human Resources, including more than 6 years in the financial sector, Krista brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her role as the HR Manager at KCU. Her professional journey has equipped her with the skills to effectively manage and support our team, ensuring we provide the best service to our members. She is excited to extend her dedication to community service by joining the KCU Cares Foundation Board. The foundation focuses on three key pillars: helping with homelessness, promoting financial wellness, and combating hunger. Krista looks forward to leveraging her experience to further the foundation’s mission of giving back and making a positive impact in our communities.
Brent Bible, Board Member
Brent currently serves as the Cyber Security Officer (CSO) at KCU, and has held this role since 2022. He has been in computer security for 10 years. He has lived in Kitsap County since 2008, with that time split between Silverdale and Port Orchard. Brent joined the KCUCares Foundation Board because it not only strives to feed and house people, but that it also provides financial training so that the cycle of abject poverty has a chance to be broken.
