
Creative Director, Bryan, Celebrates 20 Years
Please join us in wishing a Bryan Flynn a Happy 20 Years as he celebrates his anniversary this week! We'd like to express our deep gratitude to Bryan for the time he has spent here at KCU. Over the past 20 years, Bryan has been steadfast in passion for sharing the credit union difference and helping KCU create it's brand.
“Bryan is an amazing Creative Director whose passion for design shines through in everything he does. Even in the face of challenges, Bryan consistently demonstrates resilience, delivering outstanding creative work that elevates KCU,” said Melissa Morris, Marketing Director. “Bryan leads with kindness, supports those he works with, and brings out the best in those around him. I truly appreciate Bryan not only for his talent, but for the way he makes those around him feel valued and supported. He's an asset to both our team and our mission.”
We asked Bryan a few questions about his time here at Kitsap Credit Union. Here's what he shared:
Recruited by the Creative Supervisor, twenty years ago, Bryan said, "I realized I thrived much more in collaborative environments than as a solo entrepreneur. Kitsap Credit Union came along at exactly the right moment and gave me the opportunity to grow in my craft while contributing to a brand rooted in community."
Bryan first began his career at KCU as a Graphic Designer. As both he and the organization grew, Bryan became the Senior Designer where he focused on ensuring brand consistency, mentoring new designers, and helping the brand evolve. Eventually, Bryan became the Creative Director where he has lead the department in shaping our brand objectives, ensuring that creative assets reflect our mission and vision.
When we asked Bryan what his favorite memories have been in the past two decades, he said, "It’s hard to choose just one, because I’ve had the privilege of working with so many remarkable people and projects. But one of my proudest achievements was leading the evolution of our tagline. Before I became Creative Director, I was asked to evaluate and expand the KCU brand. That process led us from You Belong Here. to the more inclusive and inspiring Together it’s Possible.
"That phrase perfectly reflects our mission and vision—emphasizing collaboration, community, and shared prosperity. What has been most meaningful to me is seeing it embraced not only externally, but internally as well. It’s become part of our culture, a mantra that unites employees and inspires us to achieve more together than we could on our own."
Bryan shared, "I truly believe the most exciting chapter for the KCU brand is still ahead of us. As we grow and reach new members and markets, we have the chance to refine and expand our brand presence in meaningful ways. Personally, I never tire of sharing the story of KCU and explaining the credit union difference. Just like when I first joined, I still feel energized when I can tell someone why choosing a credit union means choosing collaboration, empowerment, and a financial partner that genuinely believes together, it’s possible."
