KCUCares Foundation: 2023 Highlights

On behalf of the KCUCares Foundation we would like to take a moment to express our profound gratitude for your continued support throughout the past year. What started in 2021 as a way to formalize our investment in the community is blossoming into a strong foundation that we can continue to build from. Everyone at Kitsap Credit Union, staff or members, is part of making this impactful work happen and we cannot be more grateful for your partnership.

2023 was another wonderful year for Kitsap Credit Union and the KCUCares Foundation in the community, and we want to celebrate all of the incredible work that was done with you. Whether it was from being part of events like Fathoms o’ Fun or our work to provide financial education in schools, both the credit union and its foundation were busy being a dedicated neighbor in our community. Between Kitsap Credit Union and the KCUCares Foundation, we were able to:

• Provide nearly $720,000 in support of community organizations and events
• Partner with 11 Backpack Feeding Programs, 14 food pantries, and 1 food network by raising $150,000 to address hunger in our area
• Donate 278 hours of staff volunteer time
• Participate in 76 community events
• Partner with Habitat for Humanity, Coffee Oasis, United Way of Kitsap and Pierce Counties to address housing instability and homelessness in our communities
• Provide 2,350 students with Financial Wellness Resources across 21 schools in 4 counties

And that is still a small highlight of the work we have done. We are excited to work alongside you in 2024 to grow our impact and show up for everyone in our community. When we come together, we can make amazing things happen. Together it’s possible.
