Ways to Give Back This Giving Tuesday
This Tuesday, November 28, is #GivingTuesday, a day of global generosity meant to unleash the power of people and organizations to transform communities and the world. Here at Kitsap Credit Union, we believe that the best way to make change is by working together.
Over the past few weeks, we’ve been working together to support Washington’s largest food drive, King 5’s Home Team Harvest, to help raise 23 million meals for those in need. We know that an estimated 1 in 12 households in Washington face food insecurity, and this food drive is a great way to provide nutritious food to children, seniors, veterans, and families throughout Washington.
So, if you’re looking for a non-profit or cause to support this Giving Tuesday, we encourage you to donate to Home Team Harvest.
Here’s how you can help:
- You can make a monetary donation at https://ow.ly/RmhI50Q67rP
- You can drop off food donations to the boxes at any of our locations during regular business hours
- You can donate your time at a local food bank. Many food banks need volunteers; even an hour of your time can make a difference.
- Spread the word! Share this post and let your friends know that Home Team Harvest is happening now through Dec. 31
All donations benefit Northwest Harvest, the largest hunger relief agency in Washington, distributing food to every county in the state, including 400 food banks, meal programs, and schools.
